Ingredients

  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the brisket with black pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin.
  3. Put the brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
  5. Pour the mixture over the brisket.
  6. Add the bay leaf.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until tender.
