- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Mix until well combined, then form the mixture into oval-shaped kofta, about 4 inches long.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Lightly brush the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the kofta in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until cooked through and browned.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve with tzatziki sauce, pita bread, and fresh vegetables.
- You can also add spices like cinnamon or allspice for a different flavor profile.
- If you prefer, soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes and thread the kofta onto them before air frying.
