Description
Deliciously juicy beef meatballs cooked to perfection in the air fryer and served in a rich tomato sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Place the meatballs in the basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
- Air fry the meatballs at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned.
- While the meatballs are cooking, heat the tomato sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in Italian seasoning and let it simmer.
- Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to the saucepan with the tomato sauce and stir to combine.
- Serve the meatballs in tomato sauce over pasta or on their own.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped fresh herbs like basil or parsley to the meatball mixture.
- You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter option.
- If you prefer a spicier sauce, add red pepper flakes to the tomato sauce.
