Description
Juicy beef patties cooked to perfection in an air fryer, topped with sweet caramelized onions for an irresistible flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 15-20 minutes. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Form the mixture into patties of your desired size. Make a small indent in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the beef patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes, if desired.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the air fryer and top each one with caramelized onions. Serve on toasted burger buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
- If you prefer your patties well done, cook them for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Feel free to customize with your favorite seasonings or toppings.
