Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each cookie.
- Air fry the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool in the basket for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket; air circulation is key for even baking.
- You can substitute chocolate chips with nuts or dried fruit if desired.
- Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
