Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup (for glaze) powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons (for glaze) water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla extract, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a donut cutter to cut out donuts and holes.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Arrange the donuts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
  7. Air fry for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and let cool slightly.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with water to create a glaze. Adjust the consistency with more sugar or water as needed.
  9. Dip the tops of the donuts in the glaze and let set on a wire rack. Add sprinkles or toppings if desired.
