Description
Juicy and flavorful chicken thighs coated in a sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce, cooked to perfection in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Place chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the honey mustard mixture over the chicken and ensure it’s evenly coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove chicken thighs from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place them skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken thighs skin-side up and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the skin is crispy.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can spray the chicken skin lightly with cooking spray before air frying.
- Feel free to adjust the level of honey or mustard based on your taste preference.
- Serve with your favorite side dishes such as roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
