Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or milk
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each okra pod in buttermilk, then dredge it in the cornmeal mixture until fully coated.
  4. Place the coated okra in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the okra is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve immediately as a snack or side dish.

Notes
