  • 2 cups fresh spinach, washed and dried
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the chickpeas are evenly coated.
  3. Place the spiced chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  4. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chickpeas are golden and crispy.
  5. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the fresh spinach to the air fryer basket. Shake to combine with the chickpeas.
  6. Once done, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately as a side or snack.
