- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into equal parts and shape each part around a wooden skewer, forming elongated kofta.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly brush the kofta with olive oil to help them crisp up in the air fryer.
- Place the kofta in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the kofta are browned and cooked through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve with tzatziki sauce, pita bread, and a fresh salad for a complete meal.
- You can adjust the spices to your preference, adding more cayenne for extra heat if desired.
