Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the olive oil over the ribs, then generously apply the dry rub mixture, ensuring it covers all sides of the ribs.
- Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on the grill or in the oven.
- Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the foil and brush both sides with BBQ sauce.
- Return the ribs to the grill or oven, uncovered, and cook for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more BBQ sauce halfway through.
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, add wood chips to your grill.
- Feel free to adjust the spices in the dry rub to suit your taste.
- These ribs can also be cooked in a slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours.
