- 12 large jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 12 slices of bacon, cut in half
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
