Juicy and flavorful BBQ burgers topped with your favorite toppings and slathered in barbecue sauce for the ultimate summer grilling experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for topping)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
- Lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion for toppings
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill patties for 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the buns, topping with additional BBQ sauce and your choice of toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious BBQ burgers!
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, consider adding smoked paprika to the beef mixture.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Experiment with different BBQ sauces for unique flavor profiles.
