Description
Tender beef tips cooked in a rich gravy and served over rice or mashed potatoes.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional for thickening)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef tips and sear on all sides until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until softened.
- Return the beef to the skillet and add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours until the beef is tender.
- If desired, stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the gravy and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve over rice or mashed potatoes and garnish with fresh parsley.
