- 6 cups fresh or frozen peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, bourbon, vanilla extract, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt. Toss to coat the peaches evenly.
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, brown sugar, melted butter, milk, and egg until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the peach mixture in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
