  • Yield: 12-16 skewers 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

These Caprese Skewers are a fresh and vibrant appetizer featuring ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil, all drizzled with balsamic glaze for an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1216 wooden skewers or toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. On each skewer, thread a cherry tomato, followed by a basil leaf, and then a mozzarella ball. Repeat this pattern until the skewer is filled, leaving some space at the end for handling.
  3. Place the assembled skewers on a serving platter.
  4. Drizzle the skewers with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute cherry tomatoes with grape tomatoes for a different flavor.
  • You can also add a drizzle of olive oil for extra richness.
  • For a spicy kick, consider adding a slice of fresh jalapeño between the tomato and mozzarella.
