Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of caramel sauce. Mix until the apples are well coated.
- Roll out the cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into quarters. Toss the pieces in flour to prevent sticking.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the cinnamon roll pieces on the bottom.
- Spread half of the apple mixture over the cinnamon rolls, followed by half of the cream cheese mixture (mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth).
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cinnamon roll pieces, apple mixture, and cream cheese mixture.
- Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with chopped pecans if using.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce if desired.
