Description

A refreshing iced tea infused with the soothing flavor of lemon verbena, perfect for hot days.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lemon verbena leaves
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  • as needed Ice cubes
  • for garnish Lemon slices

Instructions

  1. In a heatproof pitcher, add the lemon verbena leaves.
  2. Pour the boiling water over the leaves and steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the leaves from the tea and add sugar while the tea is still warm, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1-2 hours.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

Notes

  • For a sweeter tea, add more sugar to taste.
  • You can substitute honey or agave syrup for sugar if preferred.
