A refreshing frozen treat made with ripe watermelon, perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients

- 4 cups seedless watermelon, diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/4 cup water
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the diced watermelon, sugar, lime juice, water, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Place the dish in the freezer. After about 1 hour, use a fork to scrape the mixture, breaking it up into ice crystals.
- Return to the freezer and repeat the scraping process every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours, or until the granita is fully frozen and fluffy.
- Serve in chilled bowls or glasses, garnished with lime slices or mint leaves if desired.
