Description

A quick and healthy stir fry featuring tender chicken and crunchy cabbage, served with fragrant steamed jasmine rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken and stir fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir fry for another minute.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage, bell pepper, and carrots. Stir fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Stir to combine and cook for another 2 minutes, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to coat.
  7. Serve the stir fry over steamed jasmine rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
