- 2 pieces chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, top each piece with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Toss the cooked spaghetti in the garlic butter and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve the chicken parmesan alongside the buttery garlic spaghetti.
Notes
- For added flavor, season the breadcrumbs with Italian herbs.
- You can use store-bought marinara sauce or make your own.
