A delicious and easy recipe for teriyaki chicken cooked in a crockpot and served with fluffy steamed rice.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 4 cups water
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir to coat with the sauce.
- While the chicken is cooking, rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine rice and water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is fluffy and water is absorbed.
- Serve the teriyaki chicken over the fluffy rice, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
