Ingredients

- 1 pound ground turkey or chicken
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 6 whole wheat hamburger buns
- Sliced cheese (optional)
- Fresh veggies for topping (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey (or chicken), breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into burger patties.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
- In the last minute of cooking, add marinara sauce on top of each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese, if using.
- Serve the patties on whole wheat buns with fresh veggies.

- These burgers can also be made ahead of time and frozen for quick meals.
