- 1/2 cup cornmeal

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- for frying vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each pickle slice into buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Fry the pickles in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.
- Remove pickles with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more cayenne pepper or use spicy pickles.
