- 12 fresh jalapeno peppers, halved and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup bread crumbs (optional)
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, filling them generously.
- If desired, roll each stuffed jalapeno in bread crumbs for an extra crunchy topping.
- Place the jalapeno poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spray the tops lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapenos are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can adjust the spiciness by leaving some of the seeds in the jalapenos.
- For a healthier version, you can omit the bacon or use turkey bacon.
