Deliciously spicy and cheesy, these jalapeño poppers are the perfect appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and bacon (if using). Mix until well combined.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, pressing down to pack it in.
  5. Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top of each stuffed jalapeño.
  7. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray to help them brown.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the jalapeños are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
