Ingredients

  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  3. Once cooled, stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
  5. Every 30 minutes, stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals until it’s fully frozen and fluffy, about 4 hours.
  6. Scoop the sorbet into bowls and serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to serve.
