- 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
- Every 30 minutes, stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals until it’s fully frozen and fluffy, about 4 hours.
- Scoop the sorbet into bowls and serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to serve.
Notes
- For a sweeter sorbet, adjust the sugar to your taste.
- Make sure to use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
- This sorbet can be made a few days in advance and stored in the freezer.
