- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 4 cups (960ml) cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with the sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved to create a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the cooled simple syrup.
- Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well. Adjust sweetness to your taste by adding more sugar if desired.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices.
Notes
- For a flavored variation, try adding fresh mint leaves or strawberries to the lemonade.
