Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these loaded avocado fries are the perfect appetizer or snack. Topped with cheese, bacon, and a drizzle of ranch dressing, they are sure to be a hit!


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each avocado half in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Place the coated avocado halves on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  8. Drizzle with ranch dressing and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the avocados are ripe but firm to avoid mushy fries.
  • You can customize the toppings to your liking; try adding jalapeños or other favorite toppings.
