Description

Juicy beef burger topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, served on a toasted bun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and other desired toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender and golden, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  4. Cook the burger patties on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the oven until golden.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with sautéed mushrooms, and adding lettuce, tomato, and any other desired toppings.
  8. Serve immediately.
