Description
A quick and easy one-pan dish that combines succulent shrimp and pasta in a creamy garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Adjust the level of red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
- This dish is best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
