- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the orzo pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Stir in the heavy cream, cherry tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture is creamy and the tomatoes are softened.
- Remove from heat and stir in the parmesan cheese and fresh basil until well combined.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra basil and parmesan if desired.
