A delicious and easy peach cobbler made with fresh peaches and a buttery biscuit topping.

- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the peaches evenly.
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the melted butter and milk until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream if desired.
Notes
- For best flavor, use ripe and juicy peaches.
- You can substitute fresh peaches with frozen peaches, but thaw and drain them before using.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
