  • Author: ushinzomr
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A delicious and easy peach cobbler made with fresh peaches and a buttery biscuit topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the peaches evenly.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir in the melted butter and milk until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use ripe and juicy peaches.
  • You can substitute fresh peaches with frozen peaches, but thaw and drain them before using.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
