- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped or halved
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the pecans until evenly distributed.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of bourbon to the filling.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
