Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs Brisket (Choose a well-marbled brisket for the best flavor.)
  • 2 tbsp Salt (For seasoning.)
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper (Freshly cracked.)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder (Optional for seasoning.)
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder (Optional for seasoning.)
  • 10 Tortillas (Corn or flour, warmed.)
  • 1 cup Fresh Cilantro (Chopped, for garnish.)
  • 2 Lime (Cut into wedges for serving.)
  • 1 cup Salsa (For topping.)
  • 2 Avocado (Sliced, for topping.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brisket by trimming excess fat and rubbing it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  3. Place the brisket in the smoker and cook for about 1 to 1.5 hours per pound, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).
  4. Once cooked, remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Slice the brisket against the grain into thin strips.
  6. Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a skillet.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing slices of brisket in each tortilla, then topping with cilantro, avocado, and salsa.
  8. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can marinate the brisket overnight with your seasoning blend.
  • Experiment with different toppings like pickled onions or jalapeños for extra heat.
