- 3–4 lbs Brisket (Choose a well-marbled brisket for the best flavor.)
- 2 tbsp Salt (For seasoning.)
- 1 tbsp Black Pepper (Freshly cracked.)
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder (Optional for seasoning.)
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder (Optional for seasoning.)
- 10 Tortillas (Corn or flour, warmed.)
- 1 cup Fresh Cilantro (Chopped, for garnish.)
- 2 Lime (Cut into wedges for serving.)
- 1 cup Salsa (For topping.)
- 2 Avocado (Sliced, for topping.)
Instructions
- Prepare the brisket by trimming excess fat and rubbing it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Place the brisket in the smoker and cook for about 1 to 1.5 hours per pound, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).
- Once cooked, remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice the brisket against the grain into thin strips.
- Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a skillet.
- Assemble the tacos by placing slices of brisket in each tortilla, then topping with cilantro, avocado, and salsa.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can marinate the brisket overnight with your seasoning blend.
