Description
A classic Southern drink that is sweet, refreshing, and perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 cups Water
- 4 Tea bags
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- as needed Ice
- for garnish Lemon slices
Instructions
- Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags.
- Steep for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
- Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water to the sweetened tea.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate to chill.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
Notes
- For a stronger tea, steep the tea bags longer.
- Adjust sugar to taste, adding more or less depending on your preference.
- Try adding mint leaves for an extra refreshing twist.
