Description
A classic Italian appetizer made with fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze on toasted baguette slices.

- 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 3 cups ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Balsamic glaze, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
- Toast the baguette slices in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Top each slice with a generous spoonful of the tomato mixture.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the bruschetta before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use ripe, in-season tomatoes for maximum flavor.
- You can also add mozzarella or feta cheese for an extra layer of flavor.
